Max upload and download speeds aren't going to help much in FPS style games. It's more based on stability, trace routing, and location. you can play fine on a 5 down, and 1 up connection without other things on the internet. The cap on the ps4 will not hurt anything especially at those speeds. So there really is no issue here. There is no cap on PSN. The psn speed test is garbage. I have 150 mbps with Brighthouse. My xbox 1 test around 130. The PS4 speed test was always around 30 but when I do updates or downloads the speed will be around 17 MB/s which is about 136 mbp/s. Also the browser based speedtest that work with ps4 was always in the hundreds too. While the PS4 Pro has a more powerful Wi-Fi receiver, the phat and slim versions don’t have the same capabilities. But even on the PS4 pro, the download speeds on Wi-Fi will be considerably smaller than on an ethernet connection.
